Julie brings a multi-disciplinary approach to her work given her background in architecture, urban planning and fine art. What is something interesting about yourself/a funfact? I’ve been a vegetarian for 20 years this spring.
What is your favorite aspect of a project? Planning & programming; listening to clients’ needs and finding solutions.
Biggest career accomplishment thus far? Helping to revitalize one of St. Louis’ modern landmarks and one of the youngest buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, the Philip Johnson designed General American building, into a contemporary corporate headquarters.
Why did you choose your career path? I was looking for a creative career path (and something to do after college) and was inspired while learning about early skyscrapers in an art history class. I applied to grad schools shortly after.
What designer do you draw inspiration from? Richard Neutra
Best trip/vacation? Driving from Palm Springs to LA then Highway 1 to San Francisco (including a visit to the Eames House)

I don’t often have time to read, but since libraries are open for browsing again, I recently picked up Unaccustomed Earth by Jumpha Lahiri – it’s so good!
